ECONOMICS AND INVESTMENT FACULTY
Economics and Investment Faculty provides training in economics, finance, accounting and auditing, management, state and municipal administration. Two departments – Economics and Management Department; Human Resources Management Department – carry out educational and scientific work.
The teaching staff of the Faculty are highly qualified and have the potential for implementing academic researches. 93% of the teaching staff have academic degrees and titles (30% of them are Doctors of Sciences), and they constantly improve their qualification.
Teachers, students and postgraduates of the Faculty take part in different academic activities including scientific competitions, symposiums, exhibitions and conferences.
The Faculty conducts active research work on themes within the scientific economic school «Management of socioeconomic systems and processes», as well as on initiative themes and government contracts.
The Faculty holds annual international academic conference «Issues of socioeconomic development: city, state, country, world» which consists of two parts: the part of the Conference intended for students and postgraduates is held in May and June, and the part of the Conference intended for teaching staff – in December:

CAREER AND FUTURE EMPLOYMENT OF GRADUATES
Students of the Faculty practice at various manufacturing, construction and trade companies, banks, financial and insurance companies, pension funds and tax authorities, local administrations and public organizations.
The Faculty trains specialists for:
• state structures;
• financial and economic structures;
• economic subdivisions of enterprises in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region;
• insurance companies and pension funds;
• tax structures of the Leningrad region and St. Petersburg
It is possible for graduates and postgraduates of the Faculty to have training practice in Europe. Since April 2008, the agreement on cooperation with the Foundation CIFF in the field of vocational training of graduates at the University of Alcala (Spain) has been implemented. More than 40 graduates and postgraduates continued their education in Spain and returned, having received diplomas MBA IN FINANCE.
