Research Laboratory For Distance Learning

The Laboratory focuses on the development of the scientific-methodological base for distance learning within the network of traditional academic activities at Pushkin Leningrad State University. The main tasks of the laboratory are:

  • scientific research (developing the concept of distance learning, theoretical aspects of syllabus formation and methodology of distance learning, development of a comprehensive framework for distance learning within university)
  • methodological support (development and arrangement of a system of distance learning to supply various levels of education in Leningrad Region)
  • organizational activities (development of regulations for the arrangement of distance learning systems, development of distance learning courses classification, retraining of university teaching staff for the purpose of applying distance learning technology in the university’s branches and representative offices).

The Head of the Laboratory is Irina N. Palchikova (Associate Professor, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences).
